AU DENTAL CERAMICS can produce custom abutments for your implant cases. We now produce custom abutments in situations where prefabricated or “stock” abutments were once the standard. Pricing for custom abutments is about the same as for stock.

COMPUTER AIDED DESIGN

  With Atlantis VAD™ (Virtual Abutment Design) software, abutments are uniquely designed from the final tooth shape for a more natural esthetic result. Atlantis™ abutments are available in zirconia, titanium or gold-shaded titanium.

 3M ESPE Lava™ zirconia for implant abutments come in eight esthetic shades. The abutments are custom designed using CAD/CAM technology and can exactly replicate a diagnostic wax up. Additionally, AU Dental Ceramics can fabricate a finished Lava™ coping, or bridge frame to fit the completed Lava™ zirconia abutment for the ultimate in implant esthetics

 Implant abutments made from Lava™ zirconia are compatible with a wide variety of implant systems, allowing dentists to provide patients with a highly esthetic option while still utilizing the underlying implant systems with which they are familiar. To create the abutment, Lava™ zirconia is cemented to a prefabricated titanium abutment interface. Unlike many all-ceramic abutments on the market today, the metal-to-metal connection between the screw and abutment means the screw does not torque directly into the zirconia material. This allows dentists to follow standard recommendations for torque pressures on the screw and abutment.
